Standing above the internet network marketing crowd means you will need to give your website visitors something extra. It will also mean you’ll need to get out of your comfort zone and distinguish yourself from everyone else.

Just like every network marketer who has a company generated website needs to find a way to stand out from the crowd so too does an internet network marketer who is using the Renegade system of attraction marketing and pre-selling. It’s just not enough to slap up a website and a few web 2 properties and expect the traffic to start flowing to them.

Here’s the thing…now that there is a wave of networkers turning to the internet to attract prospects into their business funnel this means the need to distinguish yourself from everyone else needs to be stepped up a notch.

Yes it’s great that you’re giving your visitors the information they need to be able to move their business forward but it gets to a stage where nearly everyone else will be doing the same thing. If you’re promoting nutrition for example then visitors will be looking for informative articles on how nutrition plays a major part in one’s health. There’s nothing new there.

But what if you went the extra five per cent and wrote something that would provoke some thought and discussion? What if you commented on something within reason and gave your thoughts about it? Do you think this would suddenly stand you out as not just another internet network marketing information provider?

How about adding a headline occasionally that will force the reader to take a look at your article? Believe it or not, you are now in the web publishing business and whether you like it or not, as a voice online, you will develop a following and if you just publish stuff that’s just “run of the mill”, eventually your readers will turn off and see you as just another online marketer with the same views as everyone else.

But if you can stir the emotions in your readers and get them to make comments on your articles, then you’re on the right track in stepping above the crowd in your internet network marketing business and not being just another marketer. But just remember to be able to back up any comments and claims you make before making them.

Attraction marketing has become somewhat of a buzz term in internet network marketing circles over the past 18 months but do you really understand it and know what it means?

The truth is, it’s not a new concept but it wasn’t until Ann Sieg emerged with her Renegade training system that it started to become a serious technique with network marketers and those who have embraced it are reaping the rewards. Those rewards center around a consistent flow of prospects in their business funnel and many report accelerated growth in their businesses.

Basically, attraction marketing dispenses with the old school methods of approaching anyone who is fair game to look at a business opportunity and instead, it works on the principle that prospects actually seek you out and ask you about your business.

If that’s a foreign concept to you then be rest assured it’s real and it can be achieved. Attraction marketing is based around placing your message in front of those people who actually want to hear it. In other words, you target prospects looking for a home business opportunity and with the use of the internet as a lead generation vehicle, this has become a reality.

Using the powerful reach and leverage of the internet, an internet network marketer can build a group of web properties offering educational and training material to readers, promote these web properties targeting a series of keywords and attracting traffic to these sites.

If the information is of enough value to visitors there’s every chance they will opt in to a webmaster’s list and by offering them something of value and free such as a free report with information they can immediately use, suddenly the pre-sell process begins to kick in and instead of people being attracted to an opportunity, you become the center of their attention.

And that’s when the magic will begin to happen because it’s you and your message they are viewing as valuable and it’s you they will likely want to join in business because they see you as the person that can give them the how to and reach their goals.

If this all sounds like “pie in the sky” thinking just ask yourself if you’re still using old prospecting methods whether you’re experiencing the kind of success you anticipated.

Leaving money on the table in your internet network marketing business could be as simple as not following up with your prospects. In other words, having someone respond to your marketing and then stopping contact with them after the initial “how do you do.”

One of the attraction marketing principles Ann Sieg teaches in the Renegade System training is to follow up with your prospects, not once, not twice but until such time as it takes to earn their trust. The fact is, when someone responds to your promotion and places themselves in your business funnel they will do so with varying degrees of suspicion and doubt.

It’s one of the reasons the majority of sales are never made on the first or second calls. The truth is, most sales, up to 80% are made between the 4th and 7th calls and this is something you need to take particular note of.

It also applies to internet network marketing. A prospect isn’t going to join your business on your first contact. This is why the pre-sell angle is so important. Both Ann Sieg and Ken Evoy of Site Build It are great exponents of pre-sellingand when you understand how powerful it is when done right you’ll wonder why it’s taken so long for you to apply it.

Basically, a prospect is putting you on trial when they first ask for information. If you hit them with a sales pitch first up it’s usually “so long” or “see you later.” Too many networkers abandon their prospects after one or two contacts. Many use the argument that they are just not interested but unless one is told not to contact someone again or a prospect uses the unsubscribe option then they are still very much live.

You should have a system in place. A series of messages spaced over time in which you keep in touch with prospects. These messages should be weighted with training and educational tips and the occasional resource area someone can go for information on a particular topic. Under no circumstances should you be hitting them with sales pitches in the first few contacts.

They know you’re an internet network marketer and you’ve got to prove to them you have what it takes to be able to move them forward when they are ready to “rock and roll” in the business. So are you leaving a lot of money on the table?

The Renegade system has been been live for 18 months and it was interesting to see what sort of an impact it has had on the network marketing community.

Let’s say “right off the bat” that it has turned people’s businesses around – those who have applied the principles of attraction marketing and pre-selling but by the same token, there is still a lot of confusion out there from networkers who are internet newbies and don’t understand the concept of marketing their MLM business online. We’ll offer a solution for that shortly.

Firstly, an exercise recently confirmed to your truly that the majority of people involved in network marketing still don’t get it. Here’s what I did. I visited a busy networking forum and read quite a number of threads before posting a question. My question was:

“As a new person to network marketing and looking at starting a business, can anyone offer some solid advice about how I should get started and what would be the best and most efficient way for me to reach my initial goal of creating a trickle of income.”

Wow! The responses floored me. Not one person offered me any training or education at all. It was like throwing a piece of steak into a pirahna tank and I don’t mean to sound unkind but this was a feeding frenzy. Every response wanted to tell me they had the best company and product and now was a great time to join. My PM box was inundated.

I was surprised in a way because a comment was made recently suggesting the Renegade training system is so overdone that every one is now online marketing their business. That really is a load of you know what. For starters, the internet is so big that this will never happen…ever. But wouldn’t you think if that was the case that just a few of the responses I got would have at least offered me a little value?

Not one person referred me to a resource anywhere or offered me a report of any kind. It was walking through a third world market and being serenaded by people yelling “buy this…buy this.” No, I’m afraid the Renegade system hasn’t even scratched the surface and there is still a long, long way to go before internet network marketing comes of age.

And as for the training ground mentioned earlier, The Renegade Professional offers the practical to the theory laid out in The Renegade Network Marketer. But the truth is, if you are still practicing the “sign up at aall cost sales pitch” then you are probably fighting a losing battle.

There is one phrase you should ingrain into your pysche if you want to experience the type of at home business growth you crave. Here it is – “What Do My Prospects Really Want?”

It’s something this author dismissed as just theory for far too long yet when I saw the light, things started to change for the better – and it was dramatic. It’s easy to get caught up in the hype of new methods and coaching programs seemingly appearing every week online but don’t lose sight of the fact that old selling principles still apply today.

In a sense, while times have changed over the last 100 years it’s still the same motel, different room number.

For internet network marketing business owners, getting your prospects into your funnel using the attraction marketing methods taught in The Renegade Network Marketer are one thing, keeping them there and guiding them along the path to signing up in your business is another.

We’ve spoken a lot about pre-selling and it’s key in this process but if you could spend just a little time figuring out what your prospect really wants, not what you think they want, then magic will happen. Here’s what I mean…

Ann Sieg who wrote and developed the Renegade system openly admits to ignoring this question for far too long. But she persevered and when she discovered the benefits of knowing what her prospects really wanted her business literally took off from a standing start. Here’s a quote from one of her newsletters using cosmetics as an example:

“Women don’t want cosmetics… we really want to improve our appearance, become more attractive, and maybe (hypothetically speaking here) hide a few wrinkles and imperfections while we’re at it! Plus, it is always nice to get compliments from others – especially that special someone – on how beautiful you look.”

Can you see how powerful this can be when you understand it. Don’t lead with the product, lead with the benefits. People want to be recognized, popular, complimented, influential, pain free, comfortable, wealthy, not dependent on others for their finances, worry free…the list goes on.

How many things could you think of that would be thrown into the benefits basket that you could promote in your business. It’s like leading with how great a company is instead of the benefits in your internet network marketing business. People are not interested in the company, they are thinking about themselves and when you touch those hot buttons your at home business growth will follow.

We spoke in the previous post about the insanity of ad pounders. Those marketers who provide nothing to their list other than offer after offer after offer. What’s wrong with this scenario?

One of the things missing from this plan is the lack of a relationship between marketer and list. Sure, some will say they have a relationship with their members by way of recommending stuff to them they can use and implement in their business. But the truth is, continually hitting people up with buy offers smacks of greed and really, they need to go back to the drawing board.

Relationship building is crucial in an internet network marketing business. When someone opts onto your list they don’t know you so in a sense, you are on trial and in most instances, if you don’t deliver, then it’s a sure bet those subscribers will hit the unsubscribe button quickly.

So how do you maintain a healthy and responsive list in inter-network marketing? In a nutshell, you educate them and train them from the moment they join your list. Many can’t grasp the concept of providing stuff for free. A list member is not a licence to bombard them with product offers. Something interested them about you in the first place to want to get onto your list.

Maybe they saw you as someone who could lead them to the “promised land.” Here’s a cold hard fact…most people looking for a internet network marketing opportunity do so because they have a problem. It’s usually of a financial nature, either lack of current funds or they want to set up a nest egg for the future that they can live from comfortably and provide for their families.

Emotions come into play and if you can tap into these emotions then you are half way to getting them to join you at some stage down the line in your business. These people are looking for someone to show them how to get to a stage where they are realizing their goals.

One way to build trust with them is to train them from the moment they enter your prospect funnel. Provide tips they can use, show them the right way to build an internet network marketing business and show them free resources they can go to for now to educate themselves about building an online business.

Sure, you’re not making money right away from them but in the big picture, some of these people could eventually become the Diamonds in your business you’re craving. It’s like growing a garden, some nurturing and care is required in the initial stages and when it takes off well, it will literally fly.

It’s you people are interested in and not the company you’re with. If you earn someone’s trust in the first few weeks then you will be in a strong position to make a recommendation or two. But until you do this, don’t expect many people to hit the buy button when you immediately starting pounding them with sales pitch after sales pitch after they opt into your funnel.

I performed an interesting exercise over the Thanksgiving holiday relating to the emails I receive from a variety of online marketers. If you are a Renegade Network Marketer student then take special note because the following is something you really need to avoid.

We speak a lot about attraction marketing and effective pre-selling on this blog and for very good reason. Get both of these aspects of marketing wrong and you’ll forever be banging your head against a wall.

Okay, to the exercise I conducted – basically, I collected the emails I’m getting from online marketers and performed a process of elimination on them. You can say I finally snapped! You see, I was looking for those marketers who were giving me value.

These are the marketers who provide regular information to me; stuff I can swipe file or implement into my own marketing strategies. The result was at the end of the exercise, I had eliminated over 90% of them and unsubscribed. It was like the massacre at Little Big Horn. No longer will I be receiving correspondence from the banished marketers.

What was the problem? The Renegade system teaches attraction marketing and pre-selling principles. The latter is vital in getting your prospects to earn your trust and see you as someone valuable in their quest to move forward in their businesses. None of the marketers I banished from my email inbox forever did this.

How many did I cut? Well, from 93 marketers only seven were left intact; marketers who send me stuff occasionally and most of the time it’s educational. In this instance, I don’t mind getting the occasional recommendation for a product. But when I receive emails on a daily basis, sometimes 2-3 times a day from the same marketer with about 50 words of content and more than three links to a product recommendation and nothing else it’s time to send them to the sin bin.

If you build a list then make sure you look after it. If you become what is known as an ad-pounder then it’s a sure bet you’ll be cut swiftly. There’s nothing wrong with product recommendation – that’s why we are in this business but heck, daily emails from the same marketer pushing different products on each occasion and offering nothing else…it’s insane. How many products and programs can one person buy into?

Some may ask why be subscribed to so many lists? Good question and as a writer, it’s important to pick up tidbits and strategies from other marketers and adapt them to one’s own. We’ll be looking at various ways to service a list and if you are building a strong list of prospects from your Renegade marketing or any other quality system, then stay tuned.

This is a great story about how pre-selling can work in just about any area of life. Yes, even with animals. You see, it’s the old story of before you can receive something then you have to trade something valuable in return.

Many times, what you give is extremely important even if you’re not getting anything back in return for awhile but the point is, the walls of resistance will eventually be broken down and it all comes down to earning someone or something’s trust.

Prte-selling is a major aspect of The Renegade system and it’s taught religiously by marketing experts like Ken Evoy of Site Build It!. The simple fact is, unless you are practicing pre-selling in your internet network marketing business then you will likely struggle to firstly get prospects along the path of lead to sign up and if you do, the chances of getting them through the first three months will be rocky.

That’s why the article you’re about to read is a perfect illustration of the power of pre-selling and how it can help you go from someone surrounded in prospecting suspicion to someone who is trusted and valued as an important part of helping someone or something achieve the goals they set in life.

Are You A Desperate Internet Network Marketer?

I was recently serenaded by network marketer and unlike many, I actually welcome a chat of this nature. Why? Because it just emphasizes in most instances that what I’ve studied in The Renegade Network Marketer hits home like an Andy Rodriguez home run every time.

That is, the desperation in most MLMers and the sad part is, they don’t even realize it. The interesting aspect of this conversation was that I actually initiated the contact after a prospect had downloaded The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing and wanted to find out a little bit more about the Renegade system.

I am always happy to oblige but here’s the thing…within one minute of the conversation starting this fellow launched into a full blown sales pitch about his network marketing opportunity. He spoke about how great his company is, how life changing the products are and I should stop wasting my time studying systems like Ann Sieg’s Renegade.

I was taken aback. It caught me completely by surprise although it’s happened before on a smaller scale. So I listened…and listened…and listened. I had some time and just wanted to see how far he would go. When he finished by asking me for my mailing address so he could send me more information I simply told him you’ve just answered your own question about why I studied books like the Renegade Network Marketer.

I then asked him if he understood the concept of attraction marketing and more importantly, pre-selling. He refused to want to hear what I had to say so the conversation was cut short. I knew about his company and yes, their products are good but I was not looking for a networking opportunity.

You see, attraction marketing is all about putting your offer, whether it’s network marketing, internet marketing or just about any business opportunity in front of a hungry crowd who is ready to receive your message. Your prospects will be more targeted and more receptive to what you will have to say.

What I got was another desperate marketer who put himself first and the prospect second. At no stage did he want to know what my goals were or how I wanted to reach them. I turned off mentally in the first 20 seconds but thought he needed some practice with his sales pitch and that’s why I let him go on.

And every time I get this approach, listening to it just gives me more confidence that I’m on the right path with systems like the Renegade. How about you?

It’s one of the most mis-understood aspects of inter-network marketing…pre-selling. Most don’t use it and the few who do reap the rewards. So what is pre-selling?

Internet Network Marketing Blueprint For Success

In a nutshell, it’s the art of getting a prospect from suspect to joining your business but without you hitting them with a sales pitch. Sounds like an interesting concept doesn’t it, especially in the world of internet network marketing where sales pitches are part and parcel of the prospect process. Well, here’s something that may have never crossed your mind – it doesn’t need to be.

Yes, let me repeat it…the sales pitch doesn’t need to be part of the process of prospecting. One of my all time favorite sayings was delivered not long ago by author of The Renegade Network Marketer Ann Sieg and it related to pre-selling:

“The frame in which someone views a message has more of an impact on their decision than the message itself.”

Think about that for a moment and let me explain what it means. What do most MLMers do when they have a prospect. They continually bombard them with how great their company and products are or “if you don’t join now you’ll be sorry.” Let me ask you…would you be turned on to join someone like this in business?

Now let’s take the pre-sell angle. A person comes into your internet network marketing funnel and you immediately send them some information. But it’s not just any old information such as a standard welcome but you give them a report of some kind which can help them in their home business endeavors. It may be a report on article marketing or a collection of tips they can utilize. But make sure they can use them.

You then follow up with more information dripping them training and educational tidbits. You send them an email and ask them if they are using the information and if they want to know more about the material you’re sending them. Offer one-on-one coaching to help them with their business. Notice I said their business. Up until now you haven’t even mentioned your business opportunity.

Can you see what’s happening here? You are building a powerful relationship with someone you’ve never met. This person is still with you because they are starting to view you as someone important in their business building future. You are selling yourself and not the company or products. Once this happens magic begins to happen.

The truth is, it’s you someone will join in business not the company. It’s worth reading The Renegade Network Marketer’s message on pre-selling again:

“The frame in which someone views a message has more of an impact on their decision than the message itself.”
