Today, I just wanted to reiterate that guest posting should be part of your promotional strategy. It’s a great way to get quality links back to your sites and offers and when you are able to get links back from authority sites, your rankings are going to soar. And that means more traffic and leads for your primary business. I can’t understate just how powerful a strategy this is.

One of the world’s top bloggers in the make money online niche is Zac Johnson and he recently featured a young man who is earning up to $4K a month through guest posting on his blog. Dwayne has refined it down to a three step process which he calls:

Inviting
Exposing
Closing

Now we are talking about the old style approach but it always seems when you hear it from someone doing it successfully that it sounds simple. The truth is, it is. What Dwayne is also demonstrating is that unless you ask you’ll never know.

This approach is great for people you meet once and are never likely to meet again. It’s great for using with people you deal with in a business sense as Dwayne explains in the video such as someone in a job who might be a little down or not having a good day.

Now you’re saying “hang on a minute, what about internet network marketing and teaching prospects before you ask the question. Good question and as I’ve always said and explained before, unless you are combining both the internet and offline methods in your network marketing business then you will be leaving money on the table.

The trouble with just going online and building a business that way is that too many people lose sight of what network marketing is…it’s a people business, always has been and always will be. In a sense, many saw internet network marketing as a way to escape having to talk and deal with people. I’m here to tell you you can’t and there needs to be some sort of interaction either by phone, face-to-face and email. Preferably all three but if you are going down the email route then at least interact with your prospects by phone as well.

Here’s Dwayne’s tips on sponsoring more people in your network marketing business.

We have another ten tips for network marketing success for you from Mark Ford who follows up on a recent post. It’s simply titled “10 Further Tips to Succeed in Network Marketing” and while you recognize some of the tips he reveals, as I mentioned above, this is the type of stuff you should be spending a little time each day to maintain a focus.

And while on the subject of focus, one of the problems with people struggling to learn how to succeed in network marketing is adapting to the work at home environment.

Yes, working from home is as good as it gets and when you are able to earn an income from the comfort of your own environment it instills a sense of freedom which is hard to describe. But here is the problem when people decide to work at home…they get into comfort mode too quickly. In other words, at the beginning treating your home business like a job will be a huge advantage.

For example, clocking into work at a set time each day, turning off distractions, setting yourself a set amount of time you spend on your business, getting constant training and having a mentor to make sure you have someone you can be accountable to at the end of the day, week or month just like boss.

Are you following? One of the reasons failure is so high is because many people just aren’t self-starters and if truth be known, they like the idea of a steady salary and having a boss present to make sure they get their work done.

Now this is nothing new and we’ve been promoting internet network marketing for several years now but the key here is, it doesn’t hurt to brush up on internet network marketing tactics on a regular basis.

The truth is, most still don’t understand this stuff and it’s completely foreign to them because all they’ve been taught is offline methods; prospecting friends, family and acquaintances and there’s nothing wrong with this when you use it in conjunction with online marketing methods.

Look around your next network marketing opportunity meeting and consider for a moment why those rising up the ranks are having success. We are not talking about those heavy hitters who jump from one launch to another and take their teams with them but the ordinary mom and pops who have made a commitment to succeed in MLM and are doing it, albeit, slowly.

Network Marketing Tip

There is a special kind of commitment to success in network marketing that only about five per cent of people who try it have and succeed.

These people deserve all the success they get and the truth is, put them in another environment such as another country and that determination would shine through all the time and help them rise through the ranks. It’s taht “eyes glazed over” type of look where nothing is going to stand in their way and criticism just bounces off them like water on a duck.

I admire that and here’s one more thing…you might try four different network marketing companies over a ten year period and fail but a circumstance in your life might arise and when the fifth MLM opportunity comes along your attitude is completely different. This is where most of those who succeed are coming from. They have had several failed attempts in the past but may have tried the business when their life was working both personally and financially.

It often takes disaster and adversity to get that inner determination going in people and those who see opportunity through adversity are the ones who succeed. (It can also cause the opposite and this is something I want to talk about in a future post which affected my life.)

So when I came across this article about network marketing in Eastern Europe it struck me that network marketers are a special breed of person. It doesn’t matter where it’s practiced. Here’s a quote from a Lithuanian business consultant:

“Mankind has not yet come up with a more democratic form of business. When it comes to network marketing, each can participate in it; however, only the most tenacious and motivated people can achieve the best results…”

There’s an old adage and it’s something I live by…”if it’s too good to be true then it usually is.” Run like mad if you hear people offering you overnight secrets to success. Unless you win the lottery or inherit lots of money, getting rich quick doesn’t exist.

Yet so many people still fall for network marketing scams that offer to make you an instant millionaire. They hop from company to company and launch to launch and all they are successful in doing is spinning their wheels and working themselves into frustration.

The problem has been multiplied since network marketing online was revealed as a strategy several years ago. Make no mistake, you can build a strong network marketing business online and generate lots of leads but it doesn’t happen overnight.

One of the best analogies of achieving network marketing success I recently came across was from trainer Ian Valeza. He says..”It takes time to be good in network marketing”. In fact, he describes it as..”Learning network marketing is like learning a new sport.”

Makes sense doesn’t it. You first need to become good at something before you start getting the results you want. It’s like going out and achieving a personal best after each network marketing training session you have.

Ian put together a video which is well worth taking a look at. He talks about the get rich quick concept and what you need to do to avoid it. It’s well worth the eight minutes or so it will take to watch it.

Internet network marketing has been a huge boon to MLM prospecting, there’s no question about that. But do you also know that many people who are now online supposedly attracting prospects to network marketing aren’t really doing it.

Instead, they are playing internet marketer getting caught up with all the things being online has to offer and forgetting the two core principles that makes money in network marketing.

Can you guess what they are?

- No, it’s not setting up a website.
- No, it’s not building a blog and blogging
- No, it’s not buying the next greatest course that comes along
- No, it’s not attending the next great meeting or webinar

I could go on but you get the picture.

The answer?

Sponsoring people and selling products. It’s amazing but unless you do either of these things then it doesn’t matter how many blogs you build you won’t make money in MLM. Sure, there are ads you can put on your sites which you can earn commission from but we are talking about network marketing and the big money, the life changing money is made by sponsoring people and creating product volume.

So are you posing the question to your prospects…”Are you interested in making extra income outside of what you are already doing.”

A simple question and the worst thing that could happen is you get a “no” and you move on. Yes, the internet is a great tool and you can reach many people but I’m asking the question, are you? Sponsoring people and creating volume are the keys to making money with network marketing.

It’s also important to remember you don’t need a massive list to earn a full time income online. We mentioned Ann Sieg’s Renegade system as an example of a big list. Ann built a huge list with her report The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing. It was a value-packed report and would have been worth paying for.

Here’s what you need to know…a list of 1000 targeted subscribers will give you much healthier pay days than a list of 50,000 who are made up of just curiosity seekers not really interested in your niche topic. Many big lists are made up this way but those who hone in on specific audiences just interested in your niche topic and solutions to problems are the ones who consistently profit from their lists.

Most people want to build an opt in list but for some reason are frozen when it comes time to create a product. Or many simply think they have noting to share. You need to stop thinking like this. Everyone has something to share, seriously.

Here’s a list of things you can do right now to create a product that you can start giving away and building your list:

#1.. Can you write an article? Can you write five articles on the same topic looking at it from several angles or providing five different solution options? You should be saying yes and if so, you have got yourself a nice little 2000-2500 word report which you can give to your subscribers in exchange for their email.

#2.. Now you have the report, why not create it into an audio or a video. An MP3 recording to go along with the written report will look huge in terms of value to a potential subscriber. You can record it yourself or head to Guru.com and post a job for someone to record it for you.

#3.. Do an interview with a leader in your niche. If it’s internet network marketing then there are plenty of well known people you can interview. And it doesn’t need to be a guru. It could be someone in your upline who can spend ten minutes talking about the keys to succeeding in internet network marketing.

#4.. Head to Master-Resale-Rights.com/ and sign up. Shop their extensive library of PLR products and choose something that allows you to give away and related to your niche. It will cost you several dollars initially but could be worth plenty in the long run.

#5.. Contact well known people in your niche and ask if they have content such as articles you can use to create a report. Tell them they will get credit obviously as you promote them but you also gain credibility by using their name in your promotions.

You may have thought of other ways to create your initial giveaway product. That’s great. Just make sure it’s totally related to your niche. The secrets to creating opt in lists is giving away something of value first in exchange for an email address. Once they are on your list, don’t stop the free stuff and keep building a relationship with them.

But many are just stuck in a rut and simply can’t get going.

In my many years online there has only ever been one thing that has solved this issue and it works like a charm every time. That’s simply getting my hands dirty. Yes, no new tactic or getting hold of the latest whiz bang gimmick here but good old fashioned work.

And that my friends is at the crux of why so many people fail in internet network marketing. Some will be reading this and saying…”but I posted or submitted an article and nothing happened.” The truth is, you need to be continually putting content out there. Good content people can use and regard as valuable. One, two or three articles won’t do it.

And if you get into a rut…just go out and get your hands dirty and write something, even if it’s just three or four paragraphs. And when you get on a roll and the ideas are starting to flow, keep writing articles about network marketing whether they be about your own experience and how you solved an issue or whether it’s about someone else. Gradually, you start to develop your own style and brand and people will begin to recognize it.

And when you are on a roll, write as many articles as you can and put them “in the bank.” Use them during those times when you get stuck for an idea.

Going into forums or checking emails has made me one single dollar online…complaining it’s all too hard or wishing or even daydreaming has only got me more grief.

In the end, those who succeed in network marketing online are the ones who are pro active and produce content. It might not be great early but you can bet your bottom dollar, by continuously putting it out there, it will get very good over time.

So in a nutshell, today’s short post is to just remind you that if you expect your free network marketing leads list to grow in 2011, then you are going to need to get your hands dirty and create the type of momentum the “big dogs” create by sowing today so they can reap tomorrow. A lot of the emails I receive from struggling internet network marketers centers around the fact that they aren’t getting any traffic to their sites and if they could just get more traffic, then their problems with getting free leads would be over.

So what are they doing to attract free network marketing leads? In most cases nothing, and many others will start something for a while and then abandon it when the leads don’t start flowing. This needs to be a relentless effort. Not relentless in the sense you work your fingers to the bone but posting consistently.

Post on your sites, web 2 sites, social media sites; just something on a regular basis. That’s what creates momentum. This quote sums up most and I don’t mean to offend here. In fact, this was me several years ago: “In most cases, dreaming is safer than trying.” Does that describe you?
