That headline may shock a few people but if you are leading with the opportunity and telling people how to make big dollars in network marketing then chances are you are struggling.

The internet has changed dramatically. There are so many opportunities being advertised online right now that’s it’s like a sea of neon signs telling people to buy this and forget that; you’ll make big money; this opportunity can’t fail….you get the drift.

People have wised up. If you post ads and content on selling the opportunity you are going to be a blip in a landscape full of literally millions of messages all trying to sell the same thing. What chance have you got of being noticed.

Trouble is, when you are marketing with making dollars up front you are basically giving people what they want to hear because people want things quickly today. But that doesn’t make sense you say. Yes, but what happens when you get them in the program and nothing is happening in the first month? They are going to distrust you and you will lose them, never to hear from them again.

The best time to lead with the opportunity is once you have got people in your funnel. In other words, get them into your system and teach them. Give them the information for free that will help them move forward. Then lead with the opportunity once you’ve earned their trust.

There’s no doubt about it, once you have earned their trust you will get a better reception when they look at your opportunity. And the chances are strong that you will cut down dramatically on the attrition rate.
