Network Marketing System – Why Network Marketing Systems Won’t Work For You
Under Network Marketing TipsRecently had a great discussion with members of my Fortune team about the value of staying true to a network marketing system. The truth is, systems will work if you’ll work them.
Too many times people will “dip their toes in the water” and judge a network marketing system on a couple of rejections. You’ve got to remember this is a business of extreme highs and lows but one thing always rings true, the highs are followed by the lows and vice versa.
I found myself in a position of consoling a member of my upline who is also a very good friend. He is extremely successful in this business but wanted to vent and I happened to be available.
He just couldn’t understand why people were saying no to him lately. In fact, his issue was he would drop in on someone and people were actually telling him no even before he got the chance to show them the presentation.
My question was “why aren’t you following the model?” So far, following the model had gained him quick success in a short space of time. In just a month, he had made Regional Sales Manager at Fortune and was well on his way to Executive. But all of a sudden, he decided it was a good idea to stray from the current network marketing system we employed to trying something different. My question again was why?
Do you know that a prospect will make a quick assumption about how easy or difficult a network marketing business will be to build simply by the way you approach them? What my friend was suddenly doing was dropping in on people at their place of business or homes and talking to them about a business opportunity.
Can you see the problem here? A person will make a quick deduction simply from this. They’ll assume that if I need to drop in on people to show them this opportunity then I can’t do it. It’s not me. It’s no different than door-to-door and there is less than 10% of people who are actually comfortable with this type of selling.
So keep this in mind when you are tempted to stray from a network marketing system that is working. Remember, first impressions are vital in this business. If a person feels they cannot duplicate what you’re doing then you’ll never even get them to first base. If they feel they need to be dropping in on people unannounced then there’s little likelihood they will give you a positive response.
