Network Marketing Secrets – How To Handle The Word NO In Your MLM Business

Under Attraction Marketing

One of the little known network marketing secrets that can take your business from struggling to more prospects than you can handle is using the word “no” to your advantage.

The word “no” is the reason why many networkers eventually quit their business. People hate hearing it and when they do, it turns them inside out and pushes them further into their shell. The problem is, most go for the home run first up and with enthusiastic anticipation especially after coming off a presentation.

They have a list and begin contacting them knowing that they have the greatest opportunity in the world and there is no way their prospect will ever say no to it. But after only a couple of calls or approaches, they get battered into submission and retreat with their “tails tucked safely between their legs.”

This is why there has always been a huge attrition rate within the industry. Without a solid support system, a network marketer will quickly put up the white flag and quit their business. Every one hates rejection but did you know it doesn’t have to be like this?

In fact, the word “no” is really your friend. That’s right! The more you can hear it in a hurry the greater the chance you will enjoy success in your business. While Ann Sieg teaches attraction marketing principles in her must read book, The Renegade Network Marketer, where rejection is cut to a minimum because you are targeting prospects who want to hear what you have to say, the truth is, you still need to be prospecting your warm market.

Why?

Simply out of courtesy to let people know what you are doing. And hearing no is one of the sweetest sounds you can hear. Trust me here. The more you hear it the closer you get to the yes’ you’re after. Here’s a simple exercise you can start implementing right now in your network marketing business. Instead of going after the “yesses”,  go after the no’s.

Here’s why. By setting yourself a goal of ten no’s a day we’re tipping you’ll have trouble achieving it. When you get a yes, don’t relax and stick to your plan to reach your target number. The secret here is intensity.

You’ll be so caught up in reaching your target number that the idea is, you won’t be affected when you hear that dreaded no. Just say to yourself, that’s one, nine to go. But along the way, the inevitable “yesses” will occur.

It’s achieving in a masochistic type of way but believe me when I say it’s effective. It’s a shift in mindset and takes some practice when but when you’re on a roll, you’ll gain in confidence and will handle the word no in the confident manner you see the most successful network marketers doing.

Does this make sense? It’s one of the most productive of all network marketing secrets that most are not implementing. Love to hear your feedback!

Hi Dean, I really enjoyed reading the articles! I have learned tremendously from your articles. I want to say thanks for your guidance and for offering so much to the Network Marketing Industry.

In network marketing it’s easy to join but it’s easier and even faster to quit. People associate a sense of relief with the idea of quitting because all of a sudden they no longer ffel the pain of rejection. Unfortunately, this feeling has nothing to do with the industry but with their failure to improve their self-esteem and their expectations.

Spot on Lidia. It’s a sad fact that many people are just happy with their lot in life and that’s okay. I tell my people at least offer them the chance to look at what you’re doing. If they say no then move on and don’t get hung up on being rejected. It’s the opportunity they are rejecting not you.
