Is Getting Back Links Too Fast Bad For Your Blog?

By InternetNetworkMarketing On July 19, 2011 Under MLM Blog Secrets

So is getting back links too fast bad for your blog? Yes it is especially if you have a brand new blog. This is one trap I see many network marketers fall into. They get told that back links are the life blood of their network marketing blogs and that you need to get lots of them.

Here’s a word of warning…if you start getting a rash of back links from the beginning then you’d better make sure you are still getting a rash of back links on consistent level. Here’s what will get your MLM blog sandboxed by Google; getting a thousand back links by whatever method, bookmarking, RSS feeds, article directories, social media sites etc. in a day or two and then not adding any for a month. This is a huge red flag and Google is going to think spam blog and watch your site closely. More than likely, it’s going to take action and sandbox it and getting it back is going to take patience and a lot of work.

You should be careful with new blogs. Natural back linking during the first few weeks and even months of the blog is preferred. Hammering it with a ton of links in “one fell swoop” is going to get you in trouble most times.

Here’s the golden rule of back linking. You need to be consistent. If you get one back link a day then make it one link a day. If you get one back link a week then get one back link a week. If you get 100 a day, then that’s what you need to chase. Just be careful not to make it look unnatural in Google’s eyes.

Automated tools are great and they can be a huge advantage when you are network marketing online. Promoting your blog and getting it ranked in the search engines and in front of targeted traffic is your aim. But automated tools can also be your worst enemy if you mis-use them.

MLM Beat’s George Fourie recently spoke with Stacy Gauny who owns an automated tool called Tribe Pro. I’m not endorsing it or criticizing it because I’ve never used it but the video has such an extremely important message about automated promotion for your network marketing blogs you need to watch it. Here’s what George says about the interview:

But, like all automated systems, there are always dangers in using tools that grows your blog’s back links too fast. Ignoring this could get your blog sandboxed (the term used when your blog gets pushed to the bottom of the rankings) by Google.

Staci shares the benefits and how to avoid murdering your blog through syndicating your content through TribePro…..

Here’s the video. Enjoy!
