Hello, I couldn’t agree with this article more. I was definitely guilty of doing this. I feel more empowered today with the Attraction based model, so I haven’t started doing that with my present company. I think It was good to hear this as a reminder to focus on what’s important. Renegade Professional is the real deal. I’m thankful everyday that I stumbled across the course. Thank you..SteveWarren
Home Business Advice - Stop Being A Network Marketing Groupie
One of the best home business advice tips I ever received was never to take your eye off the ball. Okay, you’ve probably heard this quite a bit too and it gets down to maintaining focus and working towards a long term goal.
Nothing new there. It’s part of growing an at home business 101.
So what am I getting at? Here it is in a nutshell. Many would be network marketers sabotage their chances of success because they “fall in love” with the superstars. It doesn’t matter what company you’re in, there are those who are held up high on a pedestal and revered and that’s okay, but to succeed in any home business, one must be able to use this as inspiration to move their business forward.
Are You In Love With Your Upline?
The truth is, many don’t and virtually become groupies in a sense to a successful network marketer. We could sit here for hours reeling off a list of stars, heck, in my business alone we have some of the most successful networkers of all time. But do I worship them? No. Do I respect them. Yes.
With all due respect, the Renegade Network Marketer Ann Sieg is often revered more than respected and while the adulation is great, I’m sure Sieg would rather people focus on their own business goals rather than herself.
Legendary network marketer Randy Gage once said…”I will not be anybody’s guru.” He explained in a prosperity series he created that too many networkers focus on the achievements of the individual and get caught up in trance like state rather than using this person’s achievements as a source of inspiration to grow their business.
And this is where you need to draw the line if you fall in this category. The superstars achieved success because of a number of reasons with perseverance high on the list. The reason companies use them is as motivation for their reps. When you listen to these people speak you are looking for the gold nuggets that helped them grow their business. After they’re finished, let them go.
Always remember, the company you’re with is the vehicle you’re using to create the type of financial security you want. When you started your network marketing home business, you started with an end goal. Use the “gurus” for inspiration but don’t worship them.
The reality is, they simply followed the core principles of growing a home business and stuck at it to become successful. Always remember this piece of at home business advice…grow the business for you, not the gurus.
