Recently came across an old article I wrote a couple of years ago about what it takes to succeed in the internet network marketing. It’s funny because when I re-read the article it seemed so simple and straightforward.

I then realized we tend to make things more complicated than they really are when in actual fact, once you understand the core principles and just apply them success will come. The article was titled The 10 Qualities Needed To Succeed In Internet Network Marketing”.

One of the ten things it takes to succeed in internet network marketing that often gets taken for granted is the good ol’ fashioned “one per centers.” It’s something my coach used to drill into me back in my high school football days because while I could play, I tended to be a little lazy and coasted a bit.

Yes, I know that’s hard to believe…me lazy – no way!

10 Top Internet Network Marketing Success Tips

Anyway, that article “touched a cord” and reminded me it’s important to keep the simple success stuff close and handy and review them on occasions. Since I wrote the article, my online business has grown nicely and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved but things seem to have become complicated. It’s just great to be able to go back and see “what made things tick.” Here are the 10 things I wrote in 2007 that you need to do to succeed in internet network marketing:

#1…Do the “1 per centers” and do them often. It means doing that extra bit and while you and others may not recognize what you’ve done in the moment and results won’t appear instantly,  do them often enough and  they will come and in droves.

#2… The special internet network marketer understands the concept of cause and effect. Whatever positive action they take today will resonate later down the track.

#3… They don’t rest on their laurels. That is, they know if they don’t work their business then no one else will despite claims that an upline can build your business for you.

#4… The special inter-network marketer doesn’t hang around for instructions from their upline. They act without being told to act and “shoot first and ask questions later.”

#5… They welcome failure. Failure to an MLMer on a mission towards their end goal is just another sign that they’re on the right track.

#6… The special internet MLMer surrounds themselves with those who have already blazed the path to success before them. In other words, they are constantly on the lookout for ways and ideas to stretch their own boundaries.

#7… They both love and hate the idea of climbing out of their comfort zones. The feeling of discomfort they feel when they push themselves into unknown territory is tempered by the fact that they know the current action will have extremely positive consequences for their business later on.

#8… The special internet-networker takes each day on it’s merits and there is no such thing as having a bad day. Why? Because they invariably shape their own days. Better still, it’s a chance for them to do just a little bit better than the previous day which brings great satisfaction at the end of it. In other words, they continually challenge themselves.

#9… They know that success doesn’t come when the end goal is reached. Success is actually on a daily basis and they know it’s the journey to the top of the mountain that is the success.

#10…Finally, the special MLMer knows how to work smart by using the power of internet network marketing to target their prospects twenty four hours a day, seven days a week instead of trying to twist the arm of an unsuspecting relative or friend to join their business.
